Most orders are uneventful: you pay, a florist makes the bouquet, a courier calls, the flowers arrive. But anyone who has arranged flower delivery Warsaw Poland from another country knows the small anxieties that come with sending a gift you cannot see – a wrong flat number, a recipient who is out, a payment that will not go through, a bouquet that looks different from the photo. This guide walks through the things that genuinely go wrong, what happens next, and how to prevent each one. The rules given here for IFIORA are our own studio’s: we are an independent florist in Mokotów, and we deliver only within Warsaw.

The delivery rules everything below assumes:

  • Standard delivery takes 3–4 hours from acceptance of the paid order, at one price for all 18 districts – 29 zł below 500 zł, free from 500 zł.
  • Express within 2 hours costs 50 zł and runs only after the studio has confirmed it.
  • Same-day delivery is possible only when the order is paid before 16:00 Warsaw time and the studio confirms it has capacity; it is never automatic.
  • We deliver Monday to Saturday, with no Sunday delivery; public holidays are confirmed individually.
  • The greeting card and standard wrapping are free; chocolates and balloons are paid add-ons; a 7-day freshness guarantee applies when the care notes are followed.

What can go wrong with flower delivery in Warsaw – and what cannot

It helps to separate the two. What can go wrong is almost always about information: a missing address detail, a phone nobody answers, a date read in the wrong time zone. What cannot go wrong, because the studio will not let it, is quieter – you will not be sold an express slot that does not exist. Seen through the delivery process, each problem below is smaller than it looks, since most are caught before the flowers are made.

A wrong or incomplete address

What happens. Warsaw addresses have parts foreign forms do not expect: a street prefixed “ul.” or “al.”, a building number, often a flat after a slash, a five-digit postcode written 00-712, and a district. Leave out the flat number or door code and a courier reaches the building but not the door.

What we do. Our courier calls the recipient to agree the hand-over, and where a detail is missing calls the sender too; a new time or a corrected address is agreed and the flowers are delivered to the specified address. Nothing is left with a stranger without agreement.

How to prevent it. Copy the address exactly as the recipient writes it, add the flat number, floor and any entry code, and give a mobile that will be answered. A complete address is the biggest thing keeping a delivery on time.

The recipient is not at home

Because the courier phones ahead, an empty flat is rarely a surprise – it is spotted during that first call, and a new time is agreed that suits the recipient. For a surprise you do not want spoiled, write “this is a surprise” in the comment so the courier arranges the timing without naming what is coming.

The recipient is unknown at the address, or refuses the flowers

Occasionally an address turns out to be old, or the person named is not known there. The courier contacts you as the sender, and together you decide on a corrected address within Warsaw. We would rather pause and check than leave a bouquet at the wrong door.

An order paid after 16:00, or placed for a Sunday

These are the two most common timing mix-ups, both easy to prevent once you know the rule. Same-day delivery needs payment before 16:00 Warsaw time and the studio’s confirmation of capacity, so an order that clears at 16:30 is simply made for the next working day rather than lost. There is no Sunday delivery, so an order meant for Sunday is delivered on Saturday or Monday, whichever you prefer. If you are unsure whether the studio can confirm a slot for today, ask before you pay; you can choose the next morning and lose nothing.

Fast delivery when it is genuinely urgent: express and its limits

Sometimes an occasion is remembered late. Fast delivery does exist – express within 2 hours for 50 zł – but it is confirmed by the studio first, because a two-hour promise is only worth making when the hands and stems are free. If express cannot be confirmed, standard delivery in 3–4 hours usually still lands the same afternoon. No honest florist will promise an exact minute on the clock; the window is agreed, not the timestamp.

When the flowers do not last: the 7-day guarantee

Fresh flowers are natural things, and now and then a stem underperforms. Our 7-day freshness guarantee covers exactly this: if the flowers do not last, and the simple care notes were followed – clean water, a fresh diagonal cut, out of direct sun and away from fruit – write to us at [email protected] or WhatsApp +48 883 338 113 with a photo, and we will put it right. The guarantee is about the flowers themselves, not a vase left in a hot car, which is why the care notes matter.

Why the bouquet can differ from the photo

A catalogue photograph shows one bouquet made on one day. Because our flowers are seasonal and natural, the exact stems delivered can differ slightly from the image; what should match is the style, the colour and the size you chose. This is what “fresh and seasonal” means, and a good florist substitutes like for like – a garden rose for a garden rose, never a daisy for a peony. If the colour or the whole character is wrong, that is a real problem, and the same guarantee channel applies.

Choosing the right flower bouquet for a tricky address

For a recipient who is rarely home, a hotel guest or an office desk, a flower box needs no vase and keeps well for a day; for a busy reception, a compact bouquet for one named person travels better than a tall arrangement. Matching the format to the address prevents many of the problems on this page before they start.

A typo on the card, or the wrong language

The greeting card is free and the florist writes exactly what you type, in any language – so a typo you type is a typo that arrives. Read your card text twice before paying; if you spot an error afterwards, message the studio, and while the bouquet is being prepared the wording can be corrected. Cyrillic, Polish diacritics and emoji are all fine.

The address is outside Warsaw

This cannot be fixed by us, only redirected, so it is worth stating plainly: we offer flower delivery in Warsaw only – all 18 districts, and nowhere outside the city limits. Piaseczno, Łomianki, Legionowo and Marki feel close on a map but are beyond our area, and we do not forward orders to partner shops elsewhere. If the recipient is outside Warsaw, contact the studio before paying rather than after.

A payment that will not go through

Paying from abroad occasionally stalls when a bank blocks an unfamiliar charge. Payment is online in PLN, and Polish florist sites take credit and debit cards, with many also offering Apple Pay; if a card is refused, approve the charge in your banking app, try a second card, or contact us so we can help. Your bank sets any currency conversion, not the florist, and no order is confirmed until the payment clears.

Time-zone confusion when ordering from abroad

Every cut-off we quote is Warsaw time, and this is where ordering flowers across borders trips people up. 16:00 in Warsaw is 15:00 in London, 10:00 in New York and 07:00 in Los Angeles, so a “3 p.m.” that feels safe from California is past the same-day window in Poland. When you are unsure how to order for a specific day, put the delivery date in plain words – “please deliver on 12 October” – give the recipient’s Polish phone number, and let the courier settle it in local time. The site and our customer service work in English and Russian as well as Polish.

Flowers for any occasion, and what the wider market does

Problems and their fixes look much the same whatever the reason for the flowers. Across the Warsaw market the picture is broad: many online florists with varied compositions, flower boxes and mono bouquets, seasonal and exotic blooms, and bouquets hand-made by experienced florists; roses, tulips and peonies are the most requested, and roses the most popular flower in bouquets and boxes. Delivery across the city runs 1–4 hours, some shops let you pick a time slot, many accept same-day orders placed by 16:00, fees typically fall between 19 and 25 zł with free delivery above a threshold, some advertise seven days a week (IFIORA delivers Monday to Saturday), and add-ons such as cards and chocolates are offered and mostly paid – a few shops even sell soft toys. Market guides quote Warsaw bouquets from around 80 zł, but the live price is the only one that counts. Customers abroad often use networks that hand orders to local partner florists; IFIORA does not, because it is the local florist itself, and reviews are a common way buyers judge shops. IFIORA’s own range covers hand-tied bouquets, mono and eco bouquets, flower boxes, baskets, roses, cut flowers by the stem, luxury flowers, potted plants, funeral sprays and wreaths, seasonal Easter bouquets and Christmas arrangements, and flowers and decorations for offices, hotels, restaurants and special events; customer service is in Polish, English and Russian.

About us: an independent flower shop in Mokotów

IFIORA is an independent florist, not part of any chain or flower-post network. The studio is at al. Polski Walczącej 30, lok. U3/A, 00-712 Warszawa (Mokotów), open Monday to Saturday 10:00–17:00; you can reach us by phone or WhatsApp at +48 883 338 113 and by email at [email protected]. We take orders from any country and deliver flowers in Warsaw only, to the specified address, by the courier of our flower shop, who calls the recipient to agree the hand-over. One reassurance about the website itself: theme text such as “choosing a selection results in a full page refresh” or a note that a link “opens in a new window” is ordinary wording on Shopify shops, not a warning sign. A prevention checklist – and stay up to date with your order

However careful a studio is, the sender holds most of the levers. Run through this before you pay and you remove nearly every problem above at the source; it is the surest way to order flowers that arrive without a hitch.

  • Give the full address with flat number, floor and any door code, plus a mobile that will be answered – this alone protects the delivery.
  • Confirm the recipient is within Warsaw: we offer delivery in Warsaw only, with delivery in all 18 districts at one price.
  • For a special occasion, tell the florist the color palette and the person, and let the perfect bouquet be created for them rather than copied from a photo.
  • Check the weekday and the clock: a Sunday means a Saturday delivery, and same-day needs payment before 16:00 Warsaw time plus the studio’s confirmation.
  • Read the confirmation email once your order is paid and flag any typo at once, so that nothing carries a mistake forward.

Frequently asked questions

What is the first thing to do if a delivery seems to have gone wrong?

Contact the studio at once by WhatsApp or email. Most issues are information problems the courier can resolve within the same window, and we would always rather hear early than after the fact.

My flowers wilted after two days – what now?

Write to [email protected] or WhatsApp +48 883 338 113 with a photo. If the care notes were followed, the 7-day freshness guarantee means we will put it right; the guarantee is one of the reasons ordering flowers from a studio beats a supermarket bunch.

Can you deliver just outside Warsaw as a favour?

No. Delivery is within Warsaw only, and we do not forward orders elsewhere. If the address is outside the city, contact us before paying and we will say so plainly.

Are you looking for same-day delivery and it is already afternoon?

If the order is paid before 16:00 Warsaw time and the studio confirms capacity, same-day is possible; after that, we make the bouquet for the next working day. Either way you will know before you pay.

How long does delivery take and what does it cost?

Standard delivery is 3–4 hours from the paid order, the same time and price in every district: 29 zł below 500 zł, free from 500 zł. Express within 2 hours is 50 zł after confirmation.

Which parts of Warsaw do you cover?

All 18 districts, from Mokotów and Śródmieście to Białołęka and Wawer, Monday to Saturday. We do not deliver outside the city or forward orders to other towns.

Thank you for reading. A gift sent across a distance carries a little worry, and the point of this page is to take it away: the awkward moments are few and calmly handled, and the result is still meant to be a wonderful experience for the person at the door. Even more than a great bouquet, that reliability is what our flower shop is built to offer, order after order.
